The FUBB – Part 3 of The Stages of Customer Service

May 30th, 2007

In the two previous posts, I addressed the first 2 stages of superior customer support. The final Stage (and perhaps the irony is that it is not technically final- it is ongoing) is the FUBB. (more…)

The 2nd Stage of Customer Service

May 23rd, 2007

Throughout my time at university I was forced to use one of the major banks here in Canada (forced because they held my student line of credit). Going into a branch to do some banking was more painful than getting a root canal done!

It didn’t matter which branch I went to, what time of the day it was, or even which city I was in.

Each and every visit was a long drawn out process that practically required me to leap over the counter and do the transaction myself as the teller seemed completely inept.

As soon as I graduated, I went to another bank and was able to transfer over my line of credit. I was beyond ecstatic that I wouldn’t have to deal with the incompetency anymore.

I seriously considered ceremoniously burning my bank card…but in the end I cut it up and tossed it away… (more…)

Do you know the 3 Stages of Superior Customer Service?

May 15th, 2007

I’ll never forget the time that I was in a small boutique trying to buy a gift for my sister. After I had selected the item I walked up to the counter.

The salesgirl was talking quite animatedly on the phone, her back to me. I stood there for a little more than a moment until she finally turned around and saw that I was waiting. She looked right at me and then turned her back to me and continued to talk.

Now, I don’t have a problem waiting for someone who is on the phone if it is an important call- but I am pretty sure that deciding what to wear Friday night is not an important call…

So I let another 20 seconds or so go by, and then I cleared my throat. The girl stopped talking, let out a dramatic sigh and told the person on the other end to “Hang on a second”. She put the phone down, and finally turned around and approached the counter. (more…)

More on the personal consulting…

April 27th, 2007

Well, it seems like I struck a chord when I mentioned personal consulting.

Here is what I have gathered from the many comments left:

1. You don’t want another program that just costs you money.

2. You want it to work for absolute beginners.

3. You don’t want it to cost too much.

4. You don’t want there to be a lot of costs to go through the program.

5. You love the idea of paying me from your profits instead of paying 100% up front (like most programs).

6. You want the consultation calls to be structured, possibly with another program working along with them.

Are all of those conclusions correct?

Allow me to give you a few more details, (more…)

How would you like personal consultation from me?

April 25th, 2007

Ok, I have put a lot of thought into this, as I am always looking for better ways to help you get started.

Just last week I wrote my last exam, which means I am completely done University. This has freed up a lot of time in my schedule and given me more room to create more projects.

One thing that I realized would be of great value would be to actually do personal consultations.

However, I don’t simply want to put a price tag on an hour of my time, so I have decided to put together a personal coaching program.

When is the best time to send out an email?

April 18th, 2007

When you send out an email, what do you test?

(Do you test anything?)

Just like sales pages and squeeze pages, emails need to be split tested to ensure that you are making the most money with each email that you send.

Some of things that you can test include the subject line, the message content, personalization, and even how the links look.

However, one thing that is often left out of testing is the time the email is sent.

When is the best time to send out an email?

Speaking of Traffic…

April 10th, 2007

This is rather interesting.

About one year ago I purchased a $1000 course that taught me an incredible amount about traffic.

It is called Traffic Secrets.

I have applied many of its teachings and have made a lot of money because of it.

April 6th, 2007

OK, yesterday I started talking about why Google Adwords usually doesn’t work for beginners.

So allow me to get to the point.
