Miniature Medieval Terrain - Medieval Terrain for Warhammer Fantasy! Blue Table Painting - I started painting miniatures in 1996, and I developed my own techniques and reputation, having won numerous awards at local events. From 1999 to 2003 I was an elementary school teacher in East Palo Alto, California. When the pay cuts came in the summer of 2003, after five years of pouring my soul into my classroom, I started painting figures on commission to make ends meet. The commissions kept coming in.
Late in 2003 my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He always had an entrepreneurial spirit and in his last days he told me that life was too short, and to pursue my dreams with all my heart and strength. The week after he passed away, I opened Blue Table Painting. I worked out of my garage for about six months. Then my family and I moved to Spanish Fork, Utah. Shortly thereafter, I started looking for local talent to train in my unusual style. As things continued to grow, I opened a studio in downtown Spanish Fork. Now, talented artists from around the country have come to unite their dream under Blue Table's banner. Terrain Monster - TerrainMonster is a development site sponsored by Dungeon Crawlers and Fantascene. We are collecting and writing How-to’s on Building Terrain with an eye to creating a published book. This then would become the support site for the book. MiniVault - MiniVault was started in July 2002 to showcase the painted miniature models of 25-time Golden Demon and Slayer Sword winner Thomas Schadle. The site also contains modeling and painting tips, as well as some gaming background and tactics articles. Jawaballs Productions - Tutorials on how to paint mini's and bases as well as terrain Santa Cruz Warhammer - Blog about painting mini's and tips on hot to dry brush and using decorative bases The Painting Corps - For all your painting needs The Painting Corps can help you out! All Things 40k - Is a good resource on how to paint all your 40k armies The Emperor's Archangels - His personal colour schemes on his Dark Angel 2nd founding chapter! also good painting tips on here! YoungWolf7's Lair - I enjoy teaching and sharing what I know with the miniatures community. I want to continue to do so and will post new content here on this site, as well as the content that I created for BrushThralls.com. By having my own site, I have no one to blame but myself if there’s a problem. YoungWolf7.com is and always will be a one-man show, good or bad. Consider it my “solo” career. :)
Also, I’ve decided to start a small business doing… wait for it… miniatures. Surprise! Specifically assembling and converting miniatures. Anything from one-off characters to entire armies if necessary. As I work out the details and pricing structure, etc. Tears of Envy - I am a freelance graphic designer living and working in London. I specialise in logos and graphics for the entertainment industry. I do a lot of work for tabletop and board games, which I love.
Aside from graphics and games I also adore dressing up, museums, Dieselpunk, Nikon cameras and Mexican Lucha Libre wrestling (no, really).
My life would be great if I was an only child. Unfortunately I have an evil twin sister. She is rather a handful and gets into lots of trouble. Prestige Minis - My name is Aaron Lovejoy. I am 36 years old and have been painting miniatures for 8 years now. Painting did not come easy for me. Heck, it took me 5 long years to win my first Golden Demon award. Along the way, I worked very hard, asked a ton of questions and most importantly...never quit. I am forever greatful to the many people who helped me out along the way. That being said, I am a firm believer in "no secrets." So if you have a question about a technique I am using or a look that I have acheived, I have absolutely no problem telling you how I did it. I simply ask that you pass the favor on to someone else.
The purpose of this website is to not only display my work and hopefully get the random commission or two, but also to promote the hobby. There are links to all my favorite websites and vendors as well as the websites of other well known painters. There is a tutorial section and an events gallery that not only has event coverage but also features some of my friends as well. I hope you enjoy this website, but more importanly I hope that you learn something while your here!!!
Anyways, thanks for stopping by and as all of my friends will tell you, I love to talk so shoot me an email and say hi.
Happy painting!! Paintrix Miniatures - My name is Jen Haley, and I've been painting miniatures professionally for several years. Companies include Reaper Miniatures, Crocodile Games, Freebooter Miniatures, and Dark Age Games. I first picked up a brush about ten years ago and succumbed to figmentia shortly thereafter. I've never recovered.
My miniatures have won awards in a number of competitions, including two Slayer Swords at the Games Day Golden Demon competition, and Grand Master at the 2006 Privateer Press national painting contest. Images of my work have appeared in publications including White Dwarf, No Quarter, Ravage, Harbinger, Historical Miniature, and FineScaleModeler magazines.
I've written up a lot of short bios over the years, but the only one I've ever really enjoyed reading is the one written for me by Reaper last year, as a ReaperCon guest instructor. Tincture Adept - Some excellent pages on painting Warhammer 40k miniatures! The Queen of Credits - Hello. My name is Kathryn. I am the "Queen of Credits" and founder of the online virtual museum "The Queen of Credits Miniature Collection". I live in Washington state, in the USA, and have been a miniature enthusiast and collector for over 25 years.
I began painting military and espionage lead figures in the early 1980s. I did not even know there was a fantasy genre out there or that it might be possible to purchase and collect the works of other painters. My first efforts were pretty crude and I used oil based Testors as my medium.
In 1985, I discovered fantasy miniatures. By chance I passed by a miniature and rpg store that was going out of business. The owner was busy throwing out garbage when I walked in. I saw he had tossed five painted miniatures on the top of the garbage heap. I had never seen anything like them before! They appear in the scan below. I asked him if he would sell them to me instead of just throwing them away. He did. The price was $1 each. The most significant part of the transaction was that I now knew that there were knights, wizards, dragons, elves, and princesses out there somewhere. All I had to do was to find them. And, did I ever find them.
C B Studios - Wil Davies is a 27 year old miniature painter from the UK. He has been painting miniatures for over 16 years since getting into the hobby in 1993. CB Studios was set up in 2006 as a showcases for his work and is a great resource for painting and modeling tips with new and exciting tutorials being added regularly. Wil has won a number of ‘Eavy Metal painting competitions, his work has appeared in Games Workshop’s White Dwarf Magazine and he is well known amongst Space Marine fans for his Imperial Fists and their unique yellow colour scheme. On The Painting Table - My chattering about anything that comes across my painting table, and some stuff that doesn't! Iron Dog Studios - This site is dedicated to tabletop wargaming as well as the models, miniatures, and terrain associated with it. Most of the models you will see in here are for use with Warhammer 40,000 (hereafter 40k), but there are a few other games represented here as well.
IRONDOG Studios is a one man show. Every model contained in these pages, as well as all the web design is the work of one person. There is no painting staff, no design team, no marketing department, just me.
I have chosen the Orks as a theme for my website because, simply put, Orks are the best army in the 40k universe, it just took me a while to remember it. Miniatur Wunderland - The largest model railway in the world and one of the most successful permanent exhibitions in Northern Germany.
Welcome to the website of the Miniatur Wunderland - thank you very much for your interest in our little wonder-world!
In addition to important information such as opening hours, entrance fees and directions, you have the possibility to exchange opinions with others, have a look at photos, or go shopping in our online-shop.
Enjoy our virtual Wunderland! The Kamloopian - The ol' website has gone through quite a few changes in the past. As most of you know, the last few years I was devoted primarily to making gaming terrain. But I don't have the space anymore to make it on a production scale. I still like making stuff, but other than the various Kits and the pieces I will have on the Sale Items page or pieces in The White Elephant or, on the rare occasion, an auction I will be somewhat selective in taking custom orders. Anybody who has purchased from me in the past I'll always work with.
But, you can still contact me, I'm just kind of busy that's all. (After all, this is a one man show)
I will however be starting up again after the workshop is finished, (summer-fall 2008 or 09,), or maybe after it warms up in the spring. It is just too cold outside to make terrain.
In the meantime, drop me a note, idea, picture of your work. I'd like to include others ideas in the site. Micro Art Studio - We cooperate with many gifted artists. Our studio paints, converts and sculpts the models for clients all around the world.
Painting price isn't fixed. We settle it regarding painting level, number of convertions and the overall painting difficulty. We have three classes of painting (adept, master & showcase) but the division isn't always stiff - everything depends on your requirements. That's why we discuss the cost with every client individually. We'll gladly answer any of your questions, just write!
We encourage you to see our galery where you can admire some of our works and find out if there are any inspiring ideas that would satisfy you. We hope that you find something interesting. Small Obsessions - A Miniatures Site - This is the web site of a complete miniatures addict. I've spent the last 25 years painting and converting miniature figures. It all started with a pack of Heritage Models' Orcs. From those two little figures has grown a collection so large that I have a better inventory than most stores. My acquisitiveness for miniatures borders on obsessive/compulsive behavior, and I don't care.
The purpose of this page is to 1) Serve my own vanity with a gallery of my painted figures, 2) Provide a reference of real-world textures and materials for painting, 3) Explain some of the techniques and materials I use on my figures.
I hope this site will help my fellow painters as much as they've helped me. Akozz - Warhammer 40000 - A showcase of a lot of Warhammer 40k and some fantasy painting. Riders of the Cosmic Serpent - I have played Warhammer 40K since "Rogue Trader". I have played many armies but I always come back to Eldar. This Warhost is a "work in progress" of many years, and I figured that creation of this blog would keep me motivated to work harder on it....
